Only son of Volksraad AT stud in the world; Gr3 Winner - Little Wonder
STUDMASTER ROB LEWIS
Born and bred in the Wanganui- South Taranaki Region.
My parents, more so my father, bred Appaloosa horses, I grew up riding them on hills of back country sheep & beef blocks. He always dreamed of starting a stud with the stallion he had. Sadly before he could fulfil this dream he passed away.
In his memory I went back to horses, the first horse I came across was a retired thoroughbred mare with attitude to boot, but always took care of me.
Along came another thoroughbred and this led me to become interested in the racing industry. I got the bug for wanting to breed a racehorse.
I researched, learnt from, and networked with knowledgeable people in the industry. I have purchased my own property and It is my dream to breed my very own Melbourne Cup winner here.
Located on the outskirts of Wanganui on SH3 at Kaitoke, Regal Fern Lodge has 10 acres of prime, flat land, with a picturesque willow lined stream. The land will be developed into a purpose equine fenced property, complete with loading bay, round pen and yards.
New Zealand's Best Bloodstock
